Cross-linked polyethylene foam is a closed-cell foam characterised by a compact feel and resistance to water. It is also ozone resistant and has many of the same properties as polyethylene foam but also has the ability to protect class “A” surfaces. It has higher tensile and tear strengths and is thermo and vacuum formable which eliminates abrasion. Many of these foams are compatible with and are consequently used extensively in the packaging of food and medical products as well as equipment. Compression moulding and thermoforming are common fabricating methods used when creating components, packaging and products from cross-linked polyethylene foams. Cross-linking improves the resilience, elasticity, and temperature stability that allows the material to be used in a wider range of temperatures (-100 degrees F to +180 degrees F). These fabrication methods provide a unique finish that is aesthetically pleasing while still providing the necessary cushioning and support required. These foams are available in a variety of colours, and available in a variety of densities and special additives, such as fire-retardant (FR) meets UL94HFI. Cross-linking polyethylene foam enables it to be used for applications that are not normally associated with polyethylene foams (PE).

UEVA foam sheets are closed cell foam made from ethylene vinyl acetate and blended copolymer resin. It is available in densities from 30 kg/m³ to 200 kg/m³ in various colours. Our foam is formed in a mold, resulting in a sheet of closed cell cross-linked foam known as a bun. The maximum length, width and thickness of the bun varies depending upon the foam’s density. We can cut the bun into sheets of the desired thickness or cut the material into a shape, piece or block. EVA and polyethylene are similar forms of closed cell foam. However, compared with polyethylene foam, UTECHFOAMs EVA foam is softer and more resilient than polyethylene foam, also has greater recovery ability after compression. Our EVA foam is suitable for use in a wide variety of situations and applications. Its applications are to be found in consumer products, sports, leisure and footwear industries. UTECHFOAM EVA foams are also used widely in the construction industry where its enhanced durability, along with its sealing properties and chemical resistance qualities.

One economical approach to do projects is with polystyrene. from expert designs for parties or school projects to branding or professional designs for the workplace. Buildings can be made more energy efficient by using polystyrene for insulation, which lowers heating and cooling expenses. Polystyrene is lightweight and manageable. As a result, mounting it is simple, and when moving or transporting, it requires little work. When used as packing, polystyrene can shield items from harm while in transit, reducing the need for repairs and damage. Because it can be recycled and used again in the moulding business, polystyrene has a lower environmental impact. Products made of polystyrene cushion bike helmets, lower emissions from coal-fired power plants, and facilitate product manufacture.

Flexible polyurethane foam (FPF) is a polymer produced from the reaction of polyols and isocyanates; a chemical process pioneered in 1937. FPF is characterized by a cellular structure that allows for some degree of compression and resilience that provides a cushioning effect. Polyurethane foam is also called open cell-foam. Because of this property, it is a preferred material in furniture, bedding, automotive seating, athletic equipment, medical uses, packaging, footwear, and carpet cushion.
